Mu Koh Hong or Hong Island Group, belonging to the National Marine Park, is a group of small limestone islands in the province of Krabi. It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen in Thailand; a lagoon, a twin bay with fine white sand, crystal clear water and the fact that it’s uninhabited where nobody’s trying to sell you anything make this group of islands a real paradise.
We went with a longtail boat from Noppharat Thara Beach, and it takes about 45 minutes to reach the first stop. Tour agents can be found every few meters along the street in Ao Nang. Come here early as the beach can be packed with trippers from Ao Nang.
My wife, standing in the warm water at the twin bays of Hong Island. The limestone scenery is just gorgeous!
Pelay Beach. Goddamnit, I love this place!
Koh Lao Lading, also known as Paradise Island, is another beautiful island in the Hong Island group.
A walk between Kho Phak Bia and Kho Rai.
Dinner on the last stop. There are no restaurants on the islands, so don’t forget to bring food and water.
