If you’re tired of Bangkok’s traffic jam, you should spend a day in Lumpini Park which is one of the largest urban parks in Thailand. Lumpini Park is located in the center of Bangkok, near the main business district with top hotels and luxury shopping venues — much like Central Park in New York City.
People come here to walk, jog or biking around the pond. You may pass families picnicking in the grass, senior citizens playing games or practicing yoga. There are also swan pedal boats to rent. The park has more than 30 species of birds, and you will for sure see huge lizards walking around or swimming in the pond. We also saw a few turtles.

How to get here? You can take the Skytrain with the Silom Line and get out at the Saladaeng station. Or you can take the Subway and get out at the Lumpini Station. If you want to stay in a hotel close Lumpini Park, I would like to recommend Centre Point Hotel Chidlom where we stayed two nights.
