Aonang Cliff Beach Resort is built on the hillside in the heart of Ao Nang and boasts an infinity pool with stunning ocean view. This pool with views was the reason we chose to stay here when visiting Ao Nang two nights in late February. Yep, I’m a sucker when it comes to views. I imagined a fairly standard hotel, but the resort was huge, and I got a good feeling right after we arrived and the friendly staff welcomed us. I just knew it would be a good stay.
It was a hot sunny day, so it felt good to be welcomed with juice and cold towels.
My wife in the open-air lobby waiting to check in.
We booked an ocean view room with a bathtub on the balcony.
We’ll get back to the tub later.
So, here it is! The infinity pool. We have stayed in Ao Nang many times but never before have I seen Ao Nang from this perspective. I love the view of the town, the palm trees lined up at Ao Nang Beach, the characteristic limestone rock at Pai Plong Beach and Poda Island in the Andaman Sea.
The obligatory pool selfie.
There is a buffet on the ground floor every night with BBQ, sushi, and Thai food for around 500 baht (kids eat free). Rib, seafood, skewer, baked potato, and corn are a just a few things you can munch on. Eat until you are ashamed of yourself!

Cozy passageways.
Late night bathtub fun. Laying here above the hustle and bustle of the town center was a pretty cool experience.
I loved everything about the breakfast; the super friendly staff, the food, the coffee and the ocean view.
After the breakfast, we went to Pai Plong Beach via a 10-minute trail over the cliff from Ao Nang Beach’s south end.
Just in time for the sunset, we headed up to the hotel’s newly opened rooftop bar for a drink. A perfect start to a fun night in town.
Gorgeous sunset over Ao Nang. We both felt that two nights was too short a stay. If they fix their WiFi issues, we will come back for sure!
You are a great photographer Anders, I am a proponent!
In the Aonang Cliff Beach Resort article I like the pictures of the infinity pool and the cozy passageway best.
Its also fun and interesting to read your texts although I find it peculiar that you never mention Östers IF in your texts.
Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work until you feel ashamed of yourself!
Hello, Bernardo. You’re a very funny man. Östers IF? Is it something you eat?
Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate it!
Wow very beautiful place
It is! 🙂
