List of Thailand’s Largest Islands

Searching the internet for a list of the largest island in Thailand gave me zero results, so I have done the homework for you. With 926 islands scattered along the coast provinces, there are six islands larger than 100 km².

#1 Koh Phuket (514 km²)

#2 Koh Samui (229 km²)

#3 Koh Chang (217 km²)

#4 Koh Tarutao (152 km²)

#5 Koh Phangan (125 km²)

#6 Koh Kood (111 km²)

Other large islands include Koh Lanta Yai (81 km²) and Koh Yao Yai (80 km²).

    Hi Anders

No offence! Thank you for the article. I haven’t double-checked all of your information but #5 is not correct. I know of a Thai island with an area of 130km2.

Do your research if you’re interested.

As an aside, the information on Wikipedia regarding that island is not correct.

      Hi Philipp!

Would be easier if you just tell me what island 🙂

        Yes indeed, very cryptic!
