While a vacation at any of these hotels is a reality for some lucky bastards, it’s like the title says just a dream for some, including myself. But someday I will spend a night or two at one of these dreamy hotels.
1. Rayavadee Hotel, Krabi
A few years ago I saw a picture of an amazing restaurant inside a cave called The Grotto. This restaurant is part of the five-star Rayavadee Hotel, and ever since then, a stay here has been on my bucket list. The resort is located at Phra Nang Beach at Railay Peninsula in Krabi – a beach I have visited several times. Will my next visit include a check-in at Rayavadee?
2. Six Senses Yao Noi, Koh Yao Noi
Back in 2012, Cristiano Ronaldo stayed at Six Senses Yao Noi where he landed with a helicopter, a 15-minutes ride from Phuket Airport. I don’t need a helicopter; I’m happy with a longtail boat ride – just let me stay in one of those villas with a fantastic view of Phang Nga Bay!
3. Four Seasons Resort, Koh Samui
The Four Seasons Resort situated on a hillside surrounded by coconut palms looks incredibly inviting! Well, I better start saving those bucks.
4. Trisara, Phuket
Trisara boasts some stunning pool villas and residences nestled in tropical gardens in an untouched area on the northwest coast of Phuket. This has to be one of Phuket’s most luxurious resorts.
Lowest price per night (high season) via Agoda: $1,058
5. Soneva Kiri, Koh Kood
Accessible by a 90-minute flight from Bangkok with the resort’s private airplane, Soneva Kiri on Koh Kood is one of the most exclusive resorts in all of Thailand. I can only dream!
6. The Siam Hotel, Bangkok
At The Siam Hotel, situated by the Chao Praya River, you can escape the busy Bangkok life in exchange for the serenity among plants and trees. A true urban luxury retreat!
7. Phulay Bay, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Krabi
The movie The Hangover Part II shot a few scenes including the beach wedding scenes at the luxury Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Krabi. The hotel is located at Tubkaek Beach in Nong Thale, a quiet area west of the larger tourist area Ao Nang.
Lowest price per night (high season) via Agoda: $596
8. Pimalai Resort & Spa, Koh Lanta
This award-winning resort on Koh Lanta in Krabi is actually not that expensive considering it’s a world-class resort. I once paid more for a Radisson Blu room in Oslo, Norway.
Lowest price per night (high season) via Agoda: $287
9. Sri Panwa, Phuket
Luxury villas 40-60 meters above sea level at the tip of a cape with a beautiful private beach. It’s no wonder that many Thai celebrities chose to stay here when vacationing in Phuket.
Lowest price per night (high season) via Agoda: $490
10. 137 Pillars House, Chiang Mai
In March next year, My wife and I will spend four nights in Chiang Mai, but unfortunately not a single night at 137 Pillars House where a private butler is available to fulfill all your requests.
Lowest price per night (high season) via Agoda: $514
