What was supposed to be a quick stop at Kata Beach turned into a lovely day on the beach with massage, coconut-drinking, a dip in the sea, and dinner. Kata Beach is one of my favorite beaches in Phuket, and I stayed here the first time I visited Thailand. It felt good to be back!
Sun loungers lined up at the white sandy beach.
A dip in the turquoise-greenish water.
I let the woman knead me for 30 minutes while my wife enjoyed a one-hour massage.
Parasailing on Kata Beach.
Fresh coconut water from a young, green coconut. Tastes so good in the heat!
Opened in 1985, Club Med Phuket was the first major hotel on Kata Beach. The hotel controls nearly one kilometer (70% of the beach) of green land, including a golf course, and thanks to this Kata Beach does not look like Patong Beach.
My wife with a drink waiting for the food we just ordered at the southern part of the beach.
Thai food and beer with beach view; I can’t possibly feel any better!
