1. Ao Nang
Ao Nang is the center of tourism in Krabi Province close to all attractions. The town itself is dominated by restaurants, bars, and shops and is consider touristy by some. But if you’re looking for a vibrant and excitement-based holiday destination, Ao Nang is the place!
2. Koh Lanta
Koh Lanta is a lovely island with rainforest-covered mountains and a long coastline with beautiful beaches. You might think that this is yet another busy island — but it’s not! Koh Lanta is known for its chill vibes, and families come here to relax, sunbathe and swim. Make sure to visit Lanta during high season (December – April) as the island pretty much shuts down during low season leaving the beaches uncleaned.
3. Klong Muang Beach (Nong Thale)

Tubkaek Beach is the second beach located in Nong Thale, and just like Klong Muang Beach, it faces the sun which sets behind the Hong Islands. Tubkaek Beach is home to some of the best resorts in Krabi and attracts honeymooners and families seeking full relaxation.
5. Koh Phi Phi Don
The Phi Phi Islands are indeed one of the most beautiful places in the world and attract crowds of tourists. The largest island of the group — Phi Phi Don — is well known for its nightlife and will not suit everyone. If you intend to visit the famous Maya Bay at Phi Phi Leh, staying overnight at Phi Phi Don to beat the crowd the following morning is a good idea.

6. Krabi Town
Krabi Town is the capital of Krabi Province and a good choice for a short stay being cheaper than the beach destinations. Some attractions of Krabi Town include the weekend night market and Tiger Cave Temple, and from the pier, you can grab a longtail boat to Railay Beach and other attractions.

7. Railay (Rai Leh)
Railay is a is a small peninsula just around the corner of Ao Nang. Accessible only by boat, this slice of paradise with high limestone cliffs attract rock climbers from all over the world. During high season, Railay Beach is very busy and crowded with daytrippers from Ao Nang something you should keep in mind when planning a stay here. The beautiful Phra Nang Beach just south of Railay Beach is home to the famous 5-star Rayavadee Hotel with a restaurant inside a cave.

8. Pai Plong Beach (Ao Nang)
Pai Plong Beach is a small beach hidden in a bay between Ao Nang Beach and Railay Peninsula with the 5-star Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas located directly on the beach. Reachable by boat or via a 10-minute trail over the mountain from Ao Nang Beach’s south end, Pai Plong Beach is very exotic-looking with lovely greenish water surrounded by limestone mountains and lush greenery.
9. Nopparat Thara Beach
Nopparat Thara Beach is a 5 km long beach split into two halves by a river within walking distance from Ao Nang Beach, and during low tide, it’s possible to walk all the way out to the small limestone islands. Nopparat Thara Beach is a quiet beach popular among locals coming here for a picnic in the shades of the casuarina trees.
The best time to visit Krabi is between November to March when the climate is less hot than usual. April is the hottest month with an average temperature of 30°C (86°F), average high at 34°C (93°F) and the coldest month is January at 27°C (81°F) with the most daily sunshine hours at 9 in February. Facing the Andaman Sea, Krabi is subject to a 6-month rainy season between May and November.
The sea is coldest in January with an average sea temperature of 28°C (82°F) and the hottest months are April – August with an average sea temperature of 30°C (86°F).
