Dinner at Ko Dang Talay Along the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok

Asiatique’s The Riverfront, renovated in 2012, is an open-air night shopping and entertainment area on the Chao Phraya River, open daily 17:00 to 00:00. It features 1,500 shops and stalls, and 40 restaurants inside old warehouses.

This place used to be a trading company, managed by the Danish man Hans Nille Andersen in the early 1900s. The tallest Ferris Wheel in Bangkok at 60 meters is also located here. We ended up trying Ko Dang Talay Seafood Restaurant, situated in warehouse #7 on the riverside.

The atmosphere was nice at evening time as the restaurant’s outdoor seating was decorated with light bulbs. We ordered three dishes, and the most fun dish was the mackerel in lemon soup, served in a boiling hot pot with fire underneath. Brilliant! The other dishes were fried rice with crab and spicy chili clams. All dishes taste very good.
