Last week, Krabi welcomed the first Qatar Airways flight to arrive at its international airport from Doha, Qatar. The Airbus A330-200 was greeted by a traditional water cannon salute. Qatar Airways will now operate four flights per week from Doha to Krabi and three flights per week from Doha to Chiang Mai in 2017. The airline, which is already flying to Bangkok and Phuket, becomes the first Middle East airline to serve these two popular Thai destinations.
I have written before about the minivans from Victory Monument in Bangkok that takes passengers to places like Ayutthaya Historical Park and Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. But soon, it will be history. The Transport Ministry will move the 4,000 passenger vans that queue at Victory Monument to three major bus terminals in order to improve the traffic jam.

Snow Town Bangkok, which opened yesterday at Gateway Ekamai mall, claims to be the largest indoor snow shopping mall in South East Asia, covering an area of over 3,000 square meters. The ticket price for entering the Snow Town is 100 Baht, and another 100 baht for the Snow Playground Package (30 mins). Snow Town Bangkok will be open daily Mon-Thu 11am-10pm, Fri-Sun 11am-12am.
